P1 Offshore, the flagship championship of preeminent marine motorsport promoter Powerboat P1 USA, announces the addition of Cole McGowan as Director of Digital & Communications and the promotion of Martin Raby to P1 Offshore Competition Director as part of a broader strategic realignment.

With a decade of experience in powerboat racing and motorsport focusing on marketing and media, McGowan will take on his new position immediately, reporting to CEO of Powerboat P1 USA, Tim Ramsberger. McGowan will have responsibility for the series’ interface with race teams, brand development and management, communications with key stakeholders, television, digital media, and activation.

Raby, a Powerboat P1 veteran from Surrey, England, also reporting to Ramsberger, will oversee sporting affairs, racing operations and competitions, and associated infrastructure. The Briton has been with Powerboat P1 for several years managing the organization’s racing assets and supporting on-water operations.

“We are energized for the 2022 season and this realignment will better help us manage our AquaX and offshore programs featuring Class 1, especially with work already underway for new venues next year, as well as new digital and television products to enhance the fan experience,” said Ramsberger. “I’m excited for Cole to join us as he will add strong depth to our operations and strategic planning as well as increasing Martin’s role as he brings a wealth of sporting knowledge and years of experience and will be key in supporting all aspects of competition.
