Muscatine, IA-based CTS Custom Trailers, builders of world-class trailers, announced today that in addition to their line of Fully Welded Aluminum C-Channel Boat Trailers and Cradles, they will be manufacturing Tilt Trailers for select makes and models. Their first Tilt Trailer is complete and headed to Lake Havasu, AZ, for the 25th Desert Storm Poker Run & Shootout.
The first CTS Tilt will be loaned to Arizona based Mark Rios for his MTI 390X, scheduled to attend the event. But the company isn’t stopping there—they have additional order in motion for a Doug Wright 420 for FASS Fuel Systems.
All CTS Tilts will receive a 12” Structural Steel Channel Frame, Torflex Axles, Electrical/Hydraulic Braking systems with Stainless Brake Lines & DeeMaxx Brakes, Double Gusseted Corners, Ramp Wedges, Marine Grade LEDs, Bow Ladders and more. This specific Tilt will feature Triple 8K Axles equipped with Alcoa Forged Wheels wrapped in Goodyear Tires, have an In-Frame mounted Water-tight Toolbox, Drive Guard with integrated rear step, Polished Aluminum Deck and much more.
CTS Tilt Trailers will be available for catamarans fitting certain criteria to ensure the boat & trailer meet all DOT requirements. Examples of eligible boats are MTI’s 340X and 440X, Doug Wright 32 through 42, Mystic Catamarans up to 40’, select Skaters, Outerlimits and many more.
“We knew there was a stronger demand for Tilt Trailers than any of the established players could produce. Having over 30,000 sq ft of manufacturing space, we have the room to build approximately 15 Tilt Trailers in the next year,” said Jon Smiley, Vice President of Sales for CTS. “Furthermore, our tilts will be highly customizable. We won’t be restricting our clients to limited options on their premium trailers. Tilt clients are an elite group, and we will work alongside them to maximize their custom options while still delivering a safe and DOT approved trailer.”
Representatives from CTS will be on hand at the Desert Storm events, beginning with the famed Street Party on Thursday, April 20. CTS also has plans to attend several other major boating events during the summer months including the LOTO Shootout in August.
