CTS Custom Trailers, builders of world-class boat trailers, announced today the most significant additions to their team to date: Jon Smiley and Ronnie Moran, both formerly of MYCO Trailers. Smiley will assume the role of Vice President of Sales, while Moran will fulfill the role of Director of Operations.

CTS Custom Trailers specializes in fully welded aluminum C-Channel trailers and cradles that are engineered for a precise fit. Every CTS Trailer is overbuilt and over-engineered to offer additional support, rigidity, and confidence while towing or storing your prized possession.

Jon Smiley, of Fort Myers, FL, brings more than 24 years of marine industry experience. Smiley will oversee the company's Sales & Marketing departments alongside well-known performance boater and owner of CTS Custom Trailers, Jason Curry. Smiley began his marine industry career in the water sports rental business before taking on marina management roles, the last being at Sanibel Harbour Yacht Club, prior to his time at MYCO Trailers.

Ronnie Moran, of Palmetto, FL brings nearly 20 years of experience in the high-end custom boat trailer market.  Moran, formerly VP of Sales at MYCO, will work alongside CTS Custom Trailers General Manager, Lakin Curry-Thoren.  Moran brings a diverse skillset that includes far more than sales, such as office management, logistics management, purchasing and more.

“We knew that in order to ensure CTS’s success, we needed the best of the best in the industry on our team," Curry says. "To build a world-class product, you need world-class people. I’ve known of Jon and Ronnie over the years as a trailer customer myself, and knew they’d be the best fit to carry CTS to the next level. With them on our team, the sky’s the limit and we’re ready!”

Curry spends time with his family between Iowa, Lake of the Ozarks and South Florida and is an avid performance boater. Curry owns an MTI V-42 center console and is looking forward to the completion of his upcoming MTI 390X.

CTS Custom Trailers is a division of Curry’s Inc., which has been proudly serving customers since 1998. With nearly three decades of experience servicing and selling heavy-duty trucks and trailers, the minds behind CTS are no strangers to the world of over-the-road transportation. Curry’s Iowa facility has 30,000 square feet of manufacturing space, 12,000 square feet of office space, is situated on 32 acres, and employs nearly 60 individuals.

“We have the space, talented staff, and the ability to scale our business exponentially as we grow," Curry says. "The boat trailer division was launched after several prominent boating figures expressed their struggles with some of the well-established players in the trailer market. We knew we could carry our skills and knowledge over from the Semi-Truck/Trailer business and create something really special.”
