The Blue Water Offshore Racing Association Inc. (BWORA), organizer of the 32nd Annual St. Clair River Classic, announced it will continue its partnership with the Offshore Powerboat Association (OPA) as the official sanctioning organization for this year’s event, scheduled for July 24–26, 2026, along the St. Clair River in Michigan.

The St. Clair River Classic remains one of Michigan’s premier offshore powerboat racing events, drawing competitors, spectators, and visitors from across the region for a weekend of high-speed competition and community celebration.

Fans can expect an immersive weekend experience featuring world-class powerboat racing, live race broadcasts, pit access, live entertainment, and a variety of vendors. The event will take place in downtown St. Clair along Riverside Avenue, with the Palmer Park Boardwalk providing a prime viewing location for spectators to enjoy the racing action.

“Our board voted to move forward with OPA to provide a consistent product for our community, which has supported this race for many years,” said Butch Kindsvater, President of the Blue Water Offshore Racing Association.

The St. Clair River Classic continues to deliver significant economic benefits to the City of St. Clair and surrounding communities, attracting thousands of visitors and generating activity for local businesses throughout race weekend.

“This is the largest single event in the City of St. Clair during the summer,” said Bill Cedar, Mayor of St. Clair. “Blue Water Offshore Racing Association has been promoting this race for many years, and I am confident this year will continue to be a great event.”
