Team Farnsworth Motorsports has announced that Elijah Kingery—driver of the Farnsworth-sponsored Class 5 Bulletproof offshore competitor—will be the new driver of SV-1 #44 Team Farnsworth/Hancock Claims Consultants Fountain in Super Vee class this season, alongside throttleman Jay Healy. Meanwhile, Christian McCauley, the previous #44 Team Farnsworth/Hancock Claims driver, will be moving up to #9 Team Farnsworth/Hancock Claims in Super Cat class with throttlman Anthony Smith.

McCauley and Smith made their debut in the MTI at the 2023 Key West World Championships, and in Englewood, FL, at the OPA World Finals.

Hailing from Columbus, OH, Elijah brings a wealth of experience and a lifelong passion for high-performance boating to the team. Born and raised in a family where the thrill of high-speed racing and boating were a way of life, Elijah's journey into the world of offshore racing began at a young age. Inspired by watching his father, Bill, compete in offshore races, Elijah's dream of becoming a championship boat racer took root early on. In 2012, he took his first step towards realizing that dream by entering the P1 superstock, where his love for competition and the adrenaline rush of racing truly blossomed.

After dedicating himself to growing the family business at Total Marine, a premier performance boat shop in central Ohio, Elijah's passion for racing reignited in 2021 when he was offered the opportunity to join forces with Craig & Cynthia Belfatto and the 517 Bulletproof Offshore Race Team. Since then, Elijah has not only captured numerous checkered flags but also clinched the prestigious 2023 APBA National Championship, showcasing his skill and determination on the water.

"I've always wanted to move up, but I never thought it happen so soon," Kingery told Speedboat. "The whole speed limit thing for me has always been the hardest part of bracket racing." He said he thinks he will continue to be part of the 517 team this season, but as a throttleman. "Craig Belfatto, who owns the boat, says he still wants me to run it," he says. "Everything's still kind of up in the air right now. We'll see how it goes.

When he's not tearing up the waves, Elijah can be found enjoying quality time with friends and family aboard his personal pleasure boat, exploring the lakes of Columbus, Ohio and the Midwest. His unwavering dedication to the sport, combined with his love for the water, makes Elijah a standout addition to Team Farnsworth Motorsports.

"We are thrilled to welcome Elijah Kingery to Team Farnsworth Motorsports family," said Win Farnsworth, owner of the team. "His passion for racing, proven track record, and commitment to excellence make him a perfect fit for our team. We look forward to an exciting and successful season ahead with Elijah at the helm of the #44 SV-1 Fountain."
