The 2025 Race World Offshore Key West World Championships came to a thrilling conclusion on Sunday, as the DeFalco Racing team grabbed its second checkered flag of the week—and the World Championship—in PRO Class 1. World Championships also went to Dirty Money Racing, which took its third win of the week in Super Cat class, and Team Nautical Ventures, which repeated its Wednesday victory on Sunday. (All results as of this writing are unofficial, pending tech inspections.) Here’s a recap of each class.
PRO Class 1: Eight entries came to Key West to compete, including last year's winner and World Champion, DeFalco Racing (Mike Falco and Billy Moore). DeFalco, which had scored a victory on Friday, got an appreciable lead on Sunday to nab the win. Tyler Miller and Myrick Coil, the winners of Wednesday's race, finished second on Sunday in Monster Energy/M•CON, followed by Willy Cabeza and Grant Bruggemann in GC Racing.
Super Cat: Brit Lilly and Bill Pyburn—winners of last year's World Championship—once again led from pole to pole, taking their trusty Dirty Money competitor to the top of the podium after nine laps of racing. CJ Racing/Graydel (Chris Grant and Jay Muller) repeated its second-place finish on Friday, while Team Farnsworth Motorsports/Hancock Claims (Christian McCauley and Anthony Smith) repeated its third-place win from Wednesday.
"We came here to prove a point, like we did last year," Pyburn said following the race. "I think we made our point today. We worked hard all week, Brit did a phenomenal job. The boat was just easy to drive."
Added Lilly: "Super Cat back-to-back World Championships—it's just been a phenomenal week. I'm so stoked!"
Extreme: Legendary throttleman Steve Curtis and driver Sheik Hassan Al-Thani took their third straight win of the week in the #96 Spirit of Qatar competitor, along with the World Championship. American Custom Marine (Jeff McCann and Michael Knoblock) came in second.
Super Stock: Shaun Torrente and Matt Jamnickzy, the winners of Wednesday's bout, repeated their victory on Sunday in Team Nautical Ventures to take the World Championship. Nuff Said (Luis Martins and Nick Imprescia), absent from the podium until Sunday, scored a second-place finish on Sunday, while Coco's Monkey (AJ Bogino and Pete Bogino)—Friday's second-place finishers)–grabbed third on the podium.
Factory Stock: Chad Rudesill and Rusty Williams—who had finished first on Wednesday and second on Friday piloting Say Less MF—had enough points to score a World Championship by coming in second behind Sunday's winner, Montlick Injury Attorneys (Logan Adan and Giovanni Carpitella). GC Racing (Willy Cabeza and Grant Bruggemann) finished third on Sunday. With nine boats competing in the Key West race, Factory Stock had its largest turnout to date.
Super Vee: Running with PRO Class 1, the Super Vee fleet was led by Edward Smith and Jay Wohltman in Knucklehead Racing, repeating their win from Friday. They will take the World Championship from the 2024 World Champion Team of Farnsworth/Hancock Claims (Elijah Kingery and Anthony Smith), which came in second. Dart/Race Winning Brands (Ed Wendt and William McComb) finished third.
Mod Vee: With only one lap remaining, Relentless (Travis Pettko and Loren Peters) spun out while in the seventh position, followed by Irish Kevin's (Dante Napoli and Larry Fontecha) rolling over and landing upside down while in fifth. All pilots were OK; the race was called, with Speed Marine (Kyle Miller and Jay Wohltman) taking first place, NMBRVResort.com (Kirk Hanna and Mark Rinda) coming in second, and Boatfloater.com (Steve and Stephen Kildahl), the winner on boat Wednesday and Friday, took third place on Sunday and captured the World Championship. Punisher (Charlie McCarthy and Anthony Silveira) appeared to finish third on Sunday, but was cited for jumping the start and missing a buoy, sending it back to 10th place.
Cat 300: Jackhammer (Connor Langheim and Reese Langheim) ran uncontested in the class.
Winners in Sunday's Bracket Class results were as follows:
Bracket Class 2: OC Racing
Bracket Class 3: Team Woody Racing
Bracket Class 4: Shocker Offshore (but Saris Racing was the points leader).
Bracket Class 5: Rum Runners
Bracket Class 6: MDG Offshore Racing
