The second of three days of racing is in the books for the 2025 Race World Offshore Key West World Championships. DeFalco Racing grabbed the checkered flag in PRO Class 1, Dirty Money Racing took its second consecutive win of the week in Super Cat, and Raymarine was victorious in Super Stock. It was another exilharating day of racing that included another pair of scary rollover accidents. The first saw Rollin Transport, the 39' Outerlimits catamaran piloted by Sean Conner and Vinnie Diorio, crashing early on in Friday's Super Cat bout. Then, during the day's final race, Super Stock competitors Pete Riveiro and Ricardo Maldanado flipped over in Mikalyzed. (All of the pilots were OK.) Here’s a recap of each class; all results are unofficial as of this writing.
PRO Class 1: Wednesday's winner, Monster Energy/M•CON, was back, as were the second- and third-place finishers, MobileX/222 Offshore Australia and XINSURANCE North. After a sloppy start, a red flag reset the boats for a second attempt; meanwhile, the 222 team of Darren Nicholson and Giovanni Carpitella went out early on with a mechanical issue and did not make the restart. DeFalco Racing (Mike Falco and Billy Moore) grabbed an early lead and brought home the win. Tyler Miller and Myrick Coil in Monster Energy/M•CON finished second and XINSURANCE South (Brit Lilly and Bill Pyburn), which had finished in seventh place on Wednesday, landed on the podium with a third-place showing.

Super Cat: Rollin Transport (Conner and Diorio), which had finished second on Wednesday, suffered a rollover flip, landing upside down and temporarily stopping the action. After the racers emerged unhurt, a restart commenced comprising six additional laps. Brit Lilly and Bill Pyburn—winners of last year's World Championship and Wednesday's Super Cat race—once again dominated in Dirty Money. CJ Racing/Graydel (Chris Grant and Jay Muller)—which had come in a disappointing seventh (last) place on Wednesday—roared back to life on Friday with a second-place finish. Similarly, CR Racing (Rob Unnerstall and Casey Boaz), which had finished in sixth place on Wednesday, performed much better on Friday, finishing third. Team Farnsworth/Hancock Claims (Christian McCauley and Anthony Smith, third on Wednesday) finished in fourth place.
Extreme: For the second consecutive day, legendary throttleman Steve Curtis and driver Sheik Hassan Al-Thani in #96 Spirit of Qatar, took first place up against American Custom Marine (Jeff McCann and Michael Knoblock).
Super Stock: Thirteen of the 14 boats that competed on Wednesday were back on Friday. Missing were Dale McEachern and Austin Blocker in Drink-Kelo, which had flipped on Wednesday. As previously mentioned, Riveiro and Maldanado in Mikalyzed—which had been involved in an accident in Michigan City earlier this season—rolled over during the race, shutting down the action. After the boats returned for a four-lap restart, Raymarine (Cole Leibel and Gary Ballough) followed up their second-place finish on Wednesday with a checkered flag on Friday. Coco's Monkey (AJ Bogino and Pete Bogino), Wednesday's sixth-place finishers, nabbed second place, and Team Bermuda (David Selley and Steven Bridges), fifth on Wednesday, finished in third place. Regrettably, Wednesday's winners, Shaun Torrente and Matt Jamnickzy in Team Nautical Ventures, missed a buoy and were penalized one minute, sending them back to 11th place. Sunday's finale in this class is guaranteed to be wild!
Factory Stock: Eight boats in the record nine-boat field from Wednesday was back to rock and roll on Friday—minus MF Racing, which had crashed the previous day of racing. Montlick Injury Attorneys (Logan Adan and Giovanni Carpitella) had enjoyed a nice lead for much of Friday's race, but in the climactic final couple of laps, it appeared to temporarily encounter a Guardian issue, allowing GC Racing (Willy Cabeza and Grant Bruggemann) to take the lead and Say Less MF (Chad Rudesill and Rusty Williams) to take second, flip-flopping their positions from Wednesday. Jackhammer/Manatee Marine (Reese Langheim and Julian Maldonado) was third.
Super Vee: Running with PRO Class 1, the Super Vee fleet of six entries was dominated by Edward Smith and Jay Wohltman in Knucklehead Racing; Cortez Cove Fountain (Kirk Britto and Robert Lockyer) finished second and DSK Marine (Timothy and Linden Michael Howe) finished third. Wednesday's winner—reigning World Champion Team Farnsworth Motorsports/Hancock Claims (Elijah Kingery and Anthony Smith)—had to settle for fourth place.
Mod Vee: The father-son team of Steve and Stephen Kildahl, in their famous Boatfloater.com entry, doubled-down on their Wednesday win by grabbing the checkered flag on Friday. NMBRVresort.com (Kirk Hanna and Mark Rinda) converted their third-place Wednesday finish with second place on Friday. Punisher (Charlie McCarthy and Anthony Silveira) was third. Wednesday's second-place finisher, Speed Marine, unfortunately dropped off the podium to take ninth place. Meanwhile, driver Jim York and world-famous throttleman Travis Pastrana of Nitro Circus fame repeated their fourth-place finish in the new Dixxon Flannel/XINSURANCE entry.
Jackhammer (Connor Langheim and Reese Langheim) ran uncontested in Cat 300 Class.
