Deep Impact Boats debuted its its newest model, the 449 Sport, at the 2025 edition of the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, located at Dock GH, Slips 19-22 at the Bahia Mar Hotel.
The Opa-locka, FL-based builder of luxury performance center consoles describes the 449 Sport as more than a center console. Purpose-built for those who demand precision, presence, and peak performance, the 449 merges the raw exhilaration of the 399 with the luxury and presence of the 499. It's the only 45-foot boat with a transom designed for six engines. It’s not just the sweet spot—it’s the power position.
At the heart of the 449 Sport is its robust and refined craftsmanship. The twin-stepped hull is engineered for razor-sharp handling and an exceptionally soft, dry ride. The 499 was built to take on any seas that come its way, and the enormous 863-gallon fuel capacity will let the owner take on those seas longer than anyone else in its class.
The 449 Sport is engineered to comfortably welcome up to 16 guests without compromise. A 12-foot 8-inch beam gives you an incredible amount of space where it matters most. The expansive forward and aft seating, dual row helm bolsters, and a signature sun pad lounge create a social, show-stopping deck. The cabin is beautifully finished and intelligently integrated into the console, offering a stand-up head, a comfortable sleeping berth, and an optional galley while preserving deck flow and sightlines.
"The dry weight of the boat is right around 25,000 pounds," said company owner Mark Fischer. "We don't build white boats to go fast—we build boats for offshore. All of the Deep Impact models, including the 399 and the 369, are built heavier than most of our competitors' boats. They're built to go offshore and to withstand 4- to 6-foot seas and still deliver a comfortable ride. With our 499, we cruised across 5-foot seas at 50 miles an hour with 12 people on board, and nobody was uncomfortable. The 449 takes its cues from that boat—it will give you a very similar ride. Now, when you put 1,000 gallons of fuel on the boat, along with 12 people and all of their luggage, the 499 was pushing 40,000 pounds, but we still ran it at well over 80 miles an hou. Pretty amazing for a boat that size."
Fischer added that Deep Impact is now going “factory direct” with their sales. "Plantation Boat Mart and their team did a fantastic job getting the brand out there," he said. "It was a very tough decision, but it made more sense for us to be able to take control and put factory pricing on the boats to get them out to the public."
