Veteran offshore racer Damon Marotta Sr., owner and throttle-man of Offshore Outlaws in Bracket 500 Class, has announced a new sponsor: Florida-based Fuel 1 Team, which specializes in optimizing fuel quality and operational efficiency with tailored products like durable fuel tanks and custom additives for marinas, gas stations and distributors.
Through its website, Fuel1Direct.com, the company provides advanced fuel management solutions for construction, transportation and maritime industries, offering real-time monitoring software, fuel delivery services, and HydroGuard, a proprietary ethanol-free fuel additive that enhances engine efficiency, reduces emissions, and minimizes moisture-related issues. It is also an authorized distributor of PurFuels 93 Octane Ethanol Free Fuel and a dealer of Slipstream, a premium marine fuel brand additive developed by Advanced Fuel Solutions, Inc., formulated for both gasoline and diesel marine engines to address challenges like ethanol-related phase separation, moisture contamination and carbon deposits.
“I will be running the Fuel 1 E-Free 93 with Slipstream fuel in the boat,” Marotta told Speedboat. “We recently purchased the Warlock that previously raced as Bulletproof, but have only run once so far this year, at the recent New Orleans race.” Marotta, who normally shares the cockpit with his son, driver Damon Marotta Jr., plans to race with driver Mike Geraud at this weekend’s race in St. Petersburg, FL, while his son recovers from an illness.
“We're delivering fuel for all of the Aqua X marshals that are out on the water through 2026, so we’re very excited about that,” says Fuel 1 Team Director Bill Marr. “We have a Hi-Performance 93 Octane sustainable, clean marine product with the Slipstream additive. It’s clean-ocean approved and recommended by Suzuki Marine as used at St Andrews Marina in Florida. We have a very cool marketing product coming out for Southwest Florida, where we're doing home delivery service for this 93-octane product through our Fuel 1 Direct marketplace.
Fuel 1 Team’s home-delivery services are ideal for the boaters young and old, especially care for the elderly or anybody with a pontoon boat under 30’ that is kept at home, Marr says. “They could have 20- to 60-gallon fuel tanks that are stackable with a rechargeable pump, to fill their boat dockside or in their garage and ready for disaster support,” he says. “Here in Florida, we want to make sure we can get enough fuel out during storms so that people can keep their cars and generators running.”
