The First RPM Catamaran by Lavey Craft in the Works

The first offering from the collaboration of Lavey Craft Motorsports and RPM Boats is currently in the build and expected to see the light of day in early 2019.

Announced earlier this year in April at the Desert Storm Poker Run and Shootouts, Lavey Craft owner Chris Camire and Revolution Performance Marine owner Joe Malich came together and shared that all of the future production of RPM boats would be manufactured and rigged at Lavey Craft’s Corona, CA facility. Long known and respected in the industry for their strong construction of their popular vee bottom line and their attention to detail, the pairing seemed custom fit. This will be the first 26′ Redline catamaran from the Camire/Malich alliance to hit the water.

The boat will sport a Mercury Racing 700 engine on an M6 outdrive, although it can be setup with twin outboard power. Camire anticipates that this boat will run near 120 mph.

“This boat was designed way ahead of its time. It’s a big 26′, with its wraparound windshield and tall cockpit depth… and it’s fast!” said Camire of the late Steve Tripp‘s creation, founder of RPM Boats. “There was definitely a lot of forethought in it–but now it’s just a matter of injecting the West Coast flair, fit and finish.”

Look for Lavey Craft to display their line of vee bottoms at the Los Angeles Boat Show, January 10-13, 2019.
